Join Our Tempeh-Making Crew! (Part-Time)

$20-24/hour • 15-20 hours/week • Durango, CO

Hey there!

We're Luv Tempeh, a small local business in Durango making handcrafted, soy-free tempeh from organic ingredients. We supply to local markets and restaurants, plus we make other tasty fermented goodies that we sell at farmers markets.

What you'll be doing:

  • Making tempeh and other fermented foods like miso (we'll show you how!)

  • Cooking, mixing, packaging, and labeling our products

  • Keeping our kitchen clean and sanitized

The schedule:

Right now, we run tempeh production on Mondays and Thursdays from about 8:30am to 3:30pm. You might work a bit longer while learning the ropes, and there's likely another half-day in the mix too. As we grow (which we're doing!), there could be more hours down the road. Could move production days for the right person but the days of the week would need to be consistent.

You'd be great for this if:

  • You've worked in a commercial kitchen before

  • You can lift about 50 lbs (don’t worry, it’s not constant!)

  • You have (or don't mind getting) a ServeSafe certification

  • You dig healthy, local food and find fermentation interesting

  • You are authorized to work legally in the United States
